Cooper Tire Reviews
I got 5 of these for my Jeep in 285/70/17 and have had balancing issues from the start. One tire I have been told by 2 places that it is defective and can't be balanced, went to try road force balance and it wanted 17oz of weight! At least 2 others have a wobble in them and can't get it out as well. Tire place I got them from doesn't want to hear or do anything. Tread wear now at 35k miles is pretty good, but I can't wait to get these off my ride, sorry I wasted my money on these
2005 1/2 ton Suburban Originally wanted the AT/W but these had come out and the salesman talked me into these. I pull occasionally (camper, boy scout trailers etc.) but most miles were just the vehicle. I wasn't faithful at getting rotations - one time it was 10K miles - had some wearing issues at about 25k to 30k miles. Just rotated them like manufacturer suggested..... ran them until the end of June.. looked at them and decided needed new tires before taking the boy scouts to summer camp (1,400 mile round trip - pulling a trailer loaded with 7 boys). I put another set of AT/3's on - good tire - great ice and snow traction up here in North Dakota. I have read the other reviews... people talk about wind noise.. these tires are quiet... they must be putting bigger tires than manufacturer specified... my new tires run so quiet I have driven 100 miles with the radio off just so I can enjoy the quiet!
The best tire I have owned have 103,000 miles on them no flats. I work in the construction industry and have pulled several nails out of the tread with no leaks. I will be buying another set soon.
I bought this tire for my 2015 1500 Silverado. I did a level kit and put 285/55R20 tires on it. This tire is amazing! Sticks to the road better then my stock Wrangler SR-A's, Hydroplane resistance is far superior...truck just feels more stable in rain at speed. Living up here in northern New England...I really wish the tires could get the 3 Peak winter stamp. They are really good in the snow...but could be better in NE heavy wet snow.. Maybe more sipes cut into the tread
I put 40k miles on these tires, and they still had more than half of their tread left (traded the car). They had way better traction than the Michelin's that came OEM. They also look great. That said, I dropped 1-2 MPG when I had these installed, and they were noisier than the OEM tires. I tried to manage and got some of the MPG back by keeping them around 38 PSI.
I've only got about 3.5k miles on these ties, but compared to my stock tires that were on my truck, these are amazing. I used to break free just stepping on the gas in light rain, but no longer. I live in NY, so there is snow and ice in winter. No problems here. I drive with confidence. Just got back from a camping trip towing a camper in heavy rain, tires held the road with no slippage. Did some light off-roading (gravel, dirt, grass, mud) and there was never a concern about getting stuck. Overall, these are great tires. Oh yea, and they have a great ride on the street with no noise.
all tires cupped with less than 12k on them. had aligned at dealer ship after install and rotated regularly. On regular matinence appointment the told me my tires where cupped and checked alignment. Tundra was still in alignment but all tires where cupped. went back to discount and they would not do anything for me. will never run a copper again.
I bought a set of these Jan 2017 to replace the Michelins on my Colorado crew cab. There was an 8" snow the day after I had them installed. These tires made fun of the snow, excellent traction and control. Wet roads are not a problem either and the handling is superb. As aggressive as the tread is these are very quiet and the ride is second to none. These over Michelins? Absolutely.
Treadware excellent. Good in mud and snow. Noisy and is getting worse with age.
Load range E on 2004 f350. Best cooper I have owned. Very near to Toyo Open country for winter performance. I do occasionally drive logging roads with many big stones and coarse gravel, very confident tires will get be there and back. Had them on truck for about 2 yrs , put about 10000 a yr on them, mostly in NH and Maine with at least one trip to Canada, tires are good in heavy rains. I will be buying them again. At least 250 to 300 less than toyo open country I used to buy. If you cross rotate every 3000 miles they will stand up to ford solid front axel.
